York Central unveils a new look

After months of hard work by the team, York Central has unveiled a new brand identity with a re-energized look and feel, fit for the future of the scheme.

Inspired by the vision to create a vibrant, sustainable and connected community at York Central, the new look marks the next major milestone in bringing one of the UK’s largest regeneration projects to life.

The new logo represents the ambition for York Central to be full of life, as well as feeling connected to the past, present and future of York. It has a nod to the site’s railway heritage, while denoting the potential for new connections and communities to thrive within its exciting new spaces.

Tom Gilman, Managing Director of McLaren Regeneration said, “We’ve been working closely with our partners to evolve the existing York Central brand in line with our collective ambition for the development. Now, as our designs for phase one progress at pace, we think this new look and feel perfectly reflects our vision to create a world-class city quarter for the people of York now and in the future. We hope they love it as much as we do.”

As part of the new identity, a short film has been created, working alongside local people from within York’s different communities to capture the spirit York Central hopes to bring to life across this brand-new city quarter, in one of the UK’s most historic and desirable cities.

In addition, a new website www.yorkcentral.uk has been developed, which focuses on York Central as a new place for living, for working and for real life. It also has a new mailing list for people to sign up to find out about the latest news about the different stages of the development in the coming months and years.

The new look was unveiled at the UK largest real estate and investment event, UK REiiF in May and will be rolled out across all York Central development communications channels, formats and platforms over the coming months.
